(Reuters) - NEW YORK, July 25 - Online bank and brokerage E*Trade Financial Corp posted a higher quarterly profit on Wednesday as individual client assets grew six-fold.
Net income for the second quarter rose to $159 million, or 37 cents per share, from $156 million, or 36 cents per share, a year earlier.
